Miralem Pjanic optimistic of bagging a treble with Juventus this term

Bosnia international Miralem Pjanic has said that Juventus are aiming to win everything within reach during the ongoing campaign. The Bianconeri have made a bright start to the season with an unbeaten record across all competitions and Pjanic fancies his team to go all the way to celebrate a treble under Max Allegri.

Speaking to reporters, Pjanic highlighted that there is plenty of hard work involved in competing for the Serie A crown and they cannot take things for granted despite winning the league in the past seven seasons. He added that the Champions League also remains a priority for them now that they have competition for places within the first-team squad.

Leonardo Bonucci admits leaving Juventus was a mistake

Italy international Leonardo Bonucci has acknowledged that he made the mistake to leave Juventus for AC Milan during the 2017 summer transfer window. The central defender had been involved in a rift with manager Max Allegri which urged him to make the move to the Rossoneri and he thereafter captained the team through the previous campaign.

However, when the opportunity rose to return to Turin this summer, he took the chance with both hands and he has now admitted that he made the mistake to leave the Bianconeri in the first place, he told Corriere dello Sport: “Things happened during my last four months at Juventus… things which really hurt me on a personal level and dented my pride. I wasn’t clever enough to let things go, I should have let it slip by.

Lucas Biglia talks up contract extension with AC Milan

Argentine midfielder Lucas Biglia has talked up the possibility of a new contract with AC Milan after completing an entire year with the club. The 32-year-old had a not-so-impressive season with the Rossoneri last term after joining them from Lazio but he has now cemented his spot at the heart of the club’s midfield.

Speaking to Sky Italy, the experienced midfielder said that he feels settled after enduring a difficult first season and he is open to the prospect of extending his stay beyond June 2020, he said: “I’d like to renew, I feel good and I’ve settled in after a hard year. I also feel good with my teammates who had faith in me. The relationship with the boss [Gattuso] is the best, I do what he asks me to do for the team.”
