Inter Milan are the new leaders in the Italian Serie A after they claimed a comeback win over Fiorentina in their latest league game. Hosts Fiorentina and Italian football giants Inter Milan met in a week five and it was the Serie A holders who came from behind claim a 3-1 win and climb above Napoli at the summit. Italian football giants Inter Milan were able to claim victory over a Fiorentina team who finished the Serie A game with ten men after Argentine international attacker Nico Gonzalez was sent off with twelve (12) minutes left to play for collecting two yellow cards in quick succession.

Inter Milan trailed to a Riccardo Sottil strike at the interval but they were able to turn the game on its head with three second half goals. Italian winger Sottil gave the hosts the lead midway into the first half and it was enough to give Fiorentina the lead at the break. Italian football giants Inter Milan turned the game on its head with two goals in three second half minutes.

Italian international Matteo Darmianscored the Inter Milan equaliser seven minutes into the second half before summer signing EdinDzeko added a second goal three minutes later. The two quick goals ensured that Inter Milan were able to navigate the tough fixture.

Fiorentina were reduced to ten men as revealed earlier thanks to the lack of discipline shown by Gonzalez and Inter Milan made the game safe with three minutes left on the clock courtesy the strike from Croatian national team player Ivan Perisic.

The win over Fiorentina sent the Nerazzuri above Napoli and into first position. Inter Milan had began the Fiorentina game in second position and three points behind former leaders Napoli. Inter Milan are now the new leaders with 13 points, while Napoli are on 12 points with a game in hand. Napoli will play that extra game against hosts Sampdoria on Thursday evening.
