Former Liverpool star John Toshack has urged Aaron Ramsey to take up the opportunity of joining Juventus when his Arsenal contract expires at the end of the season. The Wales international has already been declined a new deal with the Gunners and he is currently free to discuss pre-contract terms with an overseas club.
Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport, Toshack said that the Welshman should take up the chance of joining the Bianconeri, given he would get to work alongside the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo. He added that the midfielder has not been lucky in terms of injuries over the years and he could transform his fortunes with the Bianconeri by winning more trophies.
However, that doubt has been put to bed by the Brazilian, who has now extended his Bianconeri deal until the end of the 2022/23 campaign. Speaking to the club’s official website, he said:”Today for me, my family and also for my teammates is a very happy day. To the fans I would like to say that I will always give my best, as I have done so far, and to keep improving. In the years that I’ve been here I learnt the mentality of the club and of my teammates. Here we always work to win and this will never change.”
In an interview with The Mirror, Dybala was asked about the recent speculation linking him with Manchester United but his response was quite clear with no pinch of desire to leave the Turin giants, he said: “I’m not thinking about the transfer market. Right now I’m really happy at Juventus and the focus is simply winning all the titles here.”
The Merseyside outfit has had their best start to any season in the Premier League era after garnering 30 points after 12 games so far.
