Italian striker Ciro Immobile has ended the speculation regarding his future by putting pen-to-paper on a new long-term deal with the club. The marksman enjoyed a superb 2019/2020 campaign where he netted 36 goals in the Serie A and he was hence handed the European Golden Shoe for being the leading scorer in Europe’s top leagues.
Over the past few months, he was regularly linked with a move to the Premier League with Everton and Newcastle United and Immobile himself admitted that he had held talks with the latter before their failed takeover from Saudi PIF. He has now committed his long-term future to Lazio by signing a new five-year contract.
