ESPN pundit Mark Ogden has said that Manchester United missed out on a no-brainer signing in the form of Mario Mandzukic from Juventus. The Red Devils had agreed on a deal worth £14m with the Bianconeri for the experienced striker but a deal surprisingly failed to materialise before the Premier League transfer deadline.

In a report covered by The Express, Ogden said that United should have taken the option of signing Mandzukic after initially agreeing on the transfer price with the Bianconeri.

Speaking on TalkSPORT, Goldstein acknowledged that Mason Greenwood is a very exciting prospect but Lukaku would surely have been a gamechanger off the bench for United during the recent 1-1 draw at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
