Chelsea have completed the signing of 16-year-old forward Dastan Satpaev, with the promising Kazakhstani talent set to join the club once he turns 18. The teenager, currently playing for Kazakhstan Premier League champions FC Kairat Almaty, will make his way to Stamford Bridge on a five-year deal, which includes an option for an additional year once he reaches the age of 18 in August 2026.

The move comes after Satpaev impressed during a successful trial at Chelsea in November. As part of the deal, Chelsea will pay a transfer fee of £3.3 million, including add-ons, which makes this the largest transfer fee ever paid for a player from the Kazakh Premier League. The deal highlights Chelsea’s continued focus on securing young, talented players, a strategy that has been central to the club’s recruitment efforts since the Todd Boehly-Clearlake Capital consortium took over in 2022.
