Liverpool striker Divock Origi is reportedly on the radar of Italian football team AC Milan. This is according to reports coming out of Italian football. It has been revealed that the Belgian senior national team star is in advanced talks with Milan over a free transfer move to the club.
Origi is on course to leave Liverpool this summer as a free agent as he has a few months to go on his contract at the club right now and Italian football giants Milan are ready to offer him a new lease of life after failing to nail down a regular spot in the Liverpool starting XI. There’s a lot of competition for places in the Liverpool attack at the moment and Origi is behind the likes of new signing Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah in the pecking order.
The specific report from Italian publication Calciomercato said that Milan director Paolo Maldini is a big fan of Liverpool striker Origi and that he’s leading the charge to sign him for the Rossoneri as a free agent. It was stated that AC Milan have initiated talks with the representatives of Origi and that the Liverpool attacker is keen to join Milan.
Origi has been restricted to just 14 Liverpool appearances in all competitions this season and he has been able to score five times including one of the goals in the 2-1 comeback win over hosts AC Milan in the final group stage game for Liverpool in the Champions League this season. While he’s fascinated with the prospect of signing for the Rossoneri, the Belgian could be tempted with a Premier League stay as he has received offers from Premier League teams. He will make a decision on his future in the coming weeks. It is almost certain that he will play for another team next season.
